Introduce your company and technology directly to decision makers at Sony! Sony Electronics Inc. is the latest company to participate in the NextNY Always Be Closing (“ABC”) series in partnership with InSITE.
Specifically, Sony Electronics is interested in connecting with New York media and technology startups focused on the areas presented below, and will select a handful of companies to come to Sony’s U.S. headquarters in New York to present their products to its business development team in front of a live audience, including select members of the VC community.

• Video streaming/”one-to-many” upload broadcast technologies
• Socialization/Game-ification engines
TECHNOLOGY
• Cross-device data synchronization (cloud synch)
• Voice/facial recognition
• Text-input and on-screen UI navigation
• Consumer-oriented mobile and Home Health/Wellness/Fitness-related technologies
• Smart Home (A/V control, Home Security, Home Control, Home Energy, Home Health)
Applications are being accepted through October 31. Here’s how it works:
1) Apply for the program using the form below. You’ll be asked to answer several short questions about your business and submit a one-page summary of your company/technology as part of the application process.
2) The Sony team will review the applications and select a small number of companies to conduct a 10-minute presentation to various company executives and representatives from the VC community. Presenting companies will be notified of their selection during the first week of November, and must be available to present at Sony’s U.S. headquarters in New York on November 10.
3) Following the presentation at Sony’s U.S. HQ in New York, the Sony team will give each presenting company feedback on its respective offering and indicate whether or not they may be interested in any follow-up or future meetings.

Founded in 1999, InSITE is a Fellowship program comprising top business, law, medical, and science students from Columbia and NYU who are interested in technology, entrepreneurship or venture financing. Fellows are selected through a competitive selection process and represent a variety of backgrounds, such as venture capital, entrepreneurship, technology, consulting, banking, media, healthcare, clean tech, and law.
