InSITE often puts together a team of experienced InSITE Fellows to work on a semester-long project for our Sponsors (typically our VC Affiliated Partners, VCAPs). InSITE will match our Sponsor’s project needs with the experience and interest of our Fellows. In the past, Fellows have helped research the industry of a potential investment or focused on working with a specific portfolio company. The goal of these projects is to provide opportunities for our Fellows to learn from and work with VCs, while also providing additional value to our Sponsors. Projects require a well-defined scope, which allow our Fellows to immediately dive into the issues and deliver a high-quality result.
Projects run the length of one semester (Fall or Spring). Typically 2-3 Fellows work on a VCAP project, depending on our VCAP’s needs and the Fellows’ interest in the topic. Sponsors typically meet with their VCAP Team 2-4 times over the course of the semester to discuss progress on the project, though this depends on the nature and needs of the project.
Projects can take many forms, including: Market analysis, lead screening, portfolio company support, due diligence (financial analysis, product functionality, primary research, etc.), and fundraising.
